We had two wonderful goat hikes this past weekend for private groups: a goat hike birthday party and a family owned business company retreat. One group was intergenerational, and other mostly teens, but both groups had a great time, interacting with the goats and each other, and spending some quality time in the outdoors with good people and beautiful and entertaining animals.
Spring and Summer are fantastic times to come out to the farm. We have 4 scheduled public hikes coming up in May and June, and we are always happy to schedule private hikes and parties for groups of 8 or more people.
Children should be at least 6 years old, or able to be carried, for the hikes.
Sunday May 1, 10am
Sunday May 29, 3pm
Monday May 30, 10am
Sunday June 12, 3pm
Contact us at info[at]tenapplefarm.com to reserve a spot in any of these hikes, or to schedule a private hike for your group.
We’ll announce July and August hike dates later in May or early June.

We had a great spring goat hike on Saturday, and we’re looking forward to seeing the article (and web video we’re told) that will be running in the Outdoors section of next Sunday’s Maine Sunday Telegram. The goats had such a good time, not to mention the hikers, that we decided to add regular afternoon goat hikes to our workshop schedule through the Spring and Summer. We’ve scheduled a bunch of them for May through August, and we’re also happy to schedule private group hikes for your group, with the option to include lunch from the farm. The next scheduled hike will be Saturday, May 4 from 2-4pm. More information and dates can be found on our 2013 Workshop Schedule page.
Special thanks for Sonja Florman and the Florman family for these great goat hike photos.
Hope to see you in a couple of weeks!
