Hi Everyone!

This is just a quick note to say how excited we are at all the press that the goat hikes have been getting lately, and how delighted we are that so many people want to come and hike with the goats. (The goats are delighted, too!). We’ve received a tremendous response in the past several days, and all the hikes that we had scheduled for February, March and April have filled quickly.

We’re looking at our calendar to find a few more dates in March and April, and add a couple more in May as well, and we hope to announce those dates later this week. If you want to sign up for our email list, that’s the best way to be notified of the new hike dates as soon as we’re able to announce them. Here’s a link: SIGN UP FOR OUR EMAIL LIST!

Thanks for everyone’s patience and understanding, and we look forward to getting you out on a goat hike soon!

Best wishes,

Karl, Margaret and the whole Ten Apple Gang

We also do hikes all year ’round, so sign up for our email list (see sidebar), and you’ll be sure to get notified whenever we schedule new hikes.

Here’s how it works: You’ll hike through the Ten Apple Farm woods with our herd of Alpine dairy goats. The hike consists of an approximately 1 1/2 mile loop through the woods on fairly well maintained trails. There is some steep terrain. Snowshoes or crampons (not provided) are often a good idea, depending on weather and snow conditions. Check with us prior to the hike about snow conditions. Children must be at least 5 years old and accompanied by an adult. (Children under 4 must be carried). Along the way we’ll talk about goats as pack animals and you’ll learn a thing or two about raising and caring for goats. After the hike, try your hand at goat milking, and enjoy some fresh goat milk and cookies! $10 per adult, $5 for kids.

To sign up, send us an email to info[at] with your name, # in your party, and a contact phone number (cell preferred).

To schedule a private hike or goat themed event for your group or party, email us: RSVP today!

Hope to see you out at the farm soon!
